Meet Alexis
I'm the goofy chic behind the camera. I'm a small biz owner, mom, wife and lifelong designer. If that wasn't enough I battle chronic autoimmune issues everyday. In 2013 we built our first home and I've been sharing everything along the way. I'm so glad to have you along for this crazy journey!
How we got here...
-
I’m Alexis Austin, the founder/CEO/momboss behind Curio Press and now the AAA Blog. Most days you can find me in a t-shirt and leggings, in my studio, designing and printing stationery. If I’m not there, you can probably catch me researching health and wellness topics, spending time with my family, or decorating our new house.
In 2013 I launched my own small business, Curio Press, selling handmade custom printed stationery online. At the time, the business was a means to pay my bills while I was trying to figure out what in the world was wrong with my body and causing me crippling pain 24/7. -
My husband and I lived with my parents for 8 years while I worked my butt off growing the business and trying to solve the mystery of my chronic health issues. And finally it has paid off - Curio Press has grown to support a team of amazing women and I designed and built our new home in St Louis, MO. I actually went to school for architecture, so the home has been 100% my own design and an expression of my own personal style.
I feel so lucky to have a career I can do from my home studio and although I love printing, home design was my first passion. This blog and instagram are a place where I can share that love with you and I am so glad you are here!

Our Family
Our little family consists of my husband, John, our daughter Emma, Izzy the Cavalier, and Ladybug the White Golden Retriever. Emma does homeschool and John is an awesome stay-at-home dad, so we are homebodies and they are great at putting up with all my decor shenangians.
