I splurged in my kitchen in a lot of places, but there are a few items I found great alternatives to that would not break the bank. Here are my fave alt finds.
I love solid burnished brass and am a bit obsessive about how much I love the real deal brass. But these are great alternatives that I’ve seen used in designer and real people’s homes alike that look fabulous.

We got the Ember Brown
I’ve been eyeing these stools for over a year and finally splurged to get them. I felt like they really completed the new kitchen and have zero regrets. They are super comfy (the cushion came with them!) and the perfect mix of tone and texture for the space. I can’t find a super close look for less match which is another reason I bought the “splurge” version, but here are the closest dupes I could find.
Our last house had this same Newport Brass faucet and we loved it – super well made and solid brass. The alternative that I almost purchased was this alternative from Etsy in unlacquered brass – the only reason we didn’t was to stick with something I knew and loved.
I am obsessed with brass and love the way unlacquered brass ages over time as it is handled. Something about seeing the marks of our hands using the kitchen over time just gives me all the good feelings! So I chose uncoated brass hardware from Rejuvenation because I fell in love with their style – they were a splurge – but true solid brass is not cheap no matter where you source it from. Below are links to our hardware as well as similar finds I had considered.
