How did I get all the golds in my house to match? I didn’t! I just set some rules about the type and hue of finish all the gold had to be and it helped keep it all looking consistent.
Rule #1: I avoided anything shiny as much as possible
Rule #2: Keep the gold / brass all a warm brass tone - avoiding anything with really yellow or red undertones.
If you were to put all my gold fixtures and accents together you would see there is quite a range, but since none of them are right next to each other (like touching) you cannot tell they are not the same. And actually, I prefer to avoid things being too matchy-matchy anyway... perfectly imperfect is kinda my thing!
