The holiday season is upon us, and as a parent, finding the perfect gifts for my daughter Emma has always been a challenge. This year, I’ve teamed up with Target on a quest to make her holidays memorable with their incredible selection of Toys & Tech for kids. Emma, who is nine years old, is a creative soul who's obsessed with animal-themed video games. Most of her playtime is spent exploring virtual worlds on her PC or embarking on adventures with her Nintendo Switch and VR headset.
She’s been rediscovering her Nintendo Switch recently, so we decided to surprise her with an accessory pack that included extra controllers and a super cute, colorful, Pokémon-themed case. It's the perfect addition to her gaming arsenal, making playtime with friends even more enjoyable. Target was also the perfect one-stop-shop for her stocking this year (both the stocking and the stuffers!). We found these perfectly sized and priced mini Magic Mixies, adorable furry slippers, cute hair clips, and a huggable FAO Schwarz dragon plush that she fell in love with during our last Target run. I went into the store without any specific stocking plan and without even a stocking - but with Target, it's easy to find those unexpected gems that light up the holiday season.
As a printer and stationery creator by trade, I am a sucker for beautiful papers and printing, so Target’s stunning collection of wrapping papers and accessories had me drooling this year. Their color-themed displays in the seasonal section made it a breeze to coordinate wrapping all your gifts while keeping a cohesive vibe.
Here's a pro-tip for achieving that picture-perfect holiday look without breaking the bank: start with bulk, simple wrapping paper for the majority of your gifts. These rolls are cost-effective and versatile. Then, add visual interest with ribbons, bows, and tags - this is the same approach I use for my decor…start with clean and simple and add interest with smaller accents. For a dash of excitement, mix in the more exciting wrapping papers with fun patterns and colors for medium to small gifts. This balance ensures your tree looks stunning without overwhelming it and also won’t break the bank.
