Front Door Reveal

Like the rest of the house, this front porch will be an ever evolving project of mine. But for our first summer in our new home, we decided to dress it up with some Gardenia trees, azaleas and some annuals. I have never been very good at keeping plants alive, so I am just hoping these will last longer than my usual victims!

Our porch extends to the side of the house and that space was a little tricky. We chose to add a hydrangea tree on either side of the pantry windows and a bench below to keep it simple, but still soften it with some greenery. A bird immediately nested in the tree closest to the front door and Emma is excited to see the babies when they hatch! Someday I have dreams of having a bunch of lush plantings around the front porch, but keeping things simple for year one! We moved into this house with almost no furniture or any decorating plan, so a little bit at a time!

Hey There!

I'm Alexis - the goofy chic behind Curio Press. We just built a house in St Louis, MO and I am juggling being a mom, wife, small biz owner, and trying my best to get this house to look like a home. If that wasn't enough I battle chronic autoimmune issues everyday. I'm so glad to have you along for this crazy journey!
